Do you only have a few minutes to make yourself look like a functioning member of society? I know what you're thinking, there's no humanly way possible to allot an additional five minutes of your morning madness to making yourself look somewhat presentable. Let's just face it, leggings, an oversized t-shirt and a messy bun get the job done. And besides, you're "too busy" (when in reality you've got as many hours in a day as Beyoncé does). But it's definitely doable as long as you've got a few key concepts in place. You don't have to be a beauty guru to master these simple beauty hacks.

1. Know your bread and butter

What is most important in your beauty routine? Brows? A bold lip? Highlight? Winged Liner? Decide what look you'd like to focus on that day and mentally prepare yourself for what products you'll need. Don't reach or your Urban Decay Naked Palette when you're pressed for time. Simply grab the essentials.

2. Neutralize your skin tone

This step is important unless your skin has been touched by an angel and just naturally happens to be flawless. Maybe you're a pressed powder girl or maybe you prefer a medium to full coverage foundation. Pick your poison and grab a primer as well as a something to apply your foundation or tinted moisturizer with after the primer sets (allow 1-2 minutes).

3. Conceal

Concealing is going to be vital for the days where you're dirt tired and running on empty. If your concealer has a doe foot applicator in the tube, you've already won half the battle! Make a few streaks or dots underneath your eyes to appear more awake and follow up with a few dabs over your blemishes. Whatever you do, be sure to BLEND the concealer in properly.

4. Brows or Liner

Which is more important to you? At this point, you don't want to waste any time as you're most likely down to your last two to three minutes. If you prefer good brows, grab a spoolie brush and comb out your brows. Using a brow pencil is going to be the easiest and fastest way to go at this point. Are you unsure of what your brow shape should be? The most natural one possible! A quick and dirty tip for this would be to grab your brow pencil and place it right next to your nostril. Rotate the pencil (without moving the base from your nose) to the far right corner of your eye. This is where the brow should end. Rotate the pencil inward to the middle of your pupil and that is where your arch should be. Start off by outlining the middle to end of your brows first. You do not want to square off the beginning of your brows as that would create an unnatural shape. Make swift and light hair like strokes to fill in the brow and then set them with powder (the same color as the brow hair) or use a clear brow gel. If you prefer liner, apply it accordingly and absolutely stay away from liquid eyeliner unless you are a pro at it. Now is not the time for experimenting. Don't forget to apply mascara during this time as well.

5. Lips

Run to your arsenal and decide what kind of lip you'd like. If this is an every day look, a shade of pink or a nude gloss or lipstick would be most fitting.

6. Cheeks and Highlight (optional)

You've made it to the end! That wasn't so daunting, was it? You can choose whether you'd like to do a blush or highlight your cheekbones at this step. Either way, 90% of your face is done and you've aced one of the most beneficial beauty hacks of all time!
